Delhi AQI: In a relentless push to combat choking air pollution, the Delhi government and allied agencies have ramped up enforcement, mechanised cleaning, and water sprinkling operations across the capital. Over the past 24 hours, authorities have issued challans to 7,580 pollution-emitting vehicles as part of a citywide crackdown, according to Jagran.com.

Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa noted that despite stubble burning in neighbouring states, ongoing construction, rising vehicle numbers, and the recent Diwali green-firecracker allowance, air quality this year remains markedly better than previous seasons. "We've directed all agencies to double down on dust control," Sirsa said.
