Delhi AQI Today: As every day draws closer to winter, Delhi's struggle with deteriorating air quality and air pollution intensifies. Residents in the national capital continue to suffer from sore throats and respiratory challenges as air quality remains in the 'very poor' category, with a few stations crossing the 350 mark.
The national capital recorded an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 335 as of 8 am on Saturday, November 8, as per the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), placing it in the 'very poor' category.

The index has slipped nearly 23 points compared to the index recorded Yesterday. The AQI was observed at 312 at 8 am on Friday, as per the notification released by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
Station-Wise AQI: Anand Vihar Records 356, Punjabi Bagh 375
- With deteriorating Air Quality Index (AQI), the Anand Vihar AQI station, often with one of the worst AQI in Delhi, recorded an Air Quality Index of 356, placing it in the 'very poor category' with PM 2.5 being the predominant pollutant. The air quality reading of the station has deteriorated as the Anand Viahr air quality monitoring station stood at 332 yesterday, on Friday.
- ITO Delhi AQI: The air quality in the ITO region of the city stood at 373 at 8 am on Friday, remaining 'very poor'. When we compare the quality with yesterday, it has slipped by 36 points.
- Several other areas in Delhi also recorded poor to very poor air quality index on Saturday, most of them experiencing worse AQI than yesterday, as per the CPCB bulletin released at 8 am. Dwarka Sector 8 recorded 318 AQI in the 'very poor' category. Other stations like IGI Airport stood at 271 in the poor category, Jahangirpuri 365, Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium 322, Lodhi Road-IMD 235, Major Dhyan Chand Stadium 322, Mandir Marg 342, Mundka 335, Najafgarh 375, Narela 358, Nehru Nagar 383.
- Punjabi Bagh observed one of the worst AQIs in Delhi at 375, placing it in the very poor category.
- All the above-mentioned AQI stations observed deterioration in the air quality as compared to that of Yesterday, at 8 am, except Lodhi Road, which experienced improvement by 54 points, from 289 to 235.
