Delhi AQI Today: The air quality in the national capital saw a slight improvement on November 14, moving from the ‘severe’ range to the ‘very poor’ range, according to the data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). The air quality index dropped from 404 on the previous day to 386 at 6:15 AM, which, while a remarkable improvement, still places the air quality in the ‘very poor’ category.

Despite the marginal improvement, residents continue to grapple with the high levels of pollution, indicating that the air quality remains a significant health concern.

Delhi AQI Update

The Air Quality Index (AQI) saw a slight improvement, with many monitoring stations reporting dangerously low levels. Out of a total of 37 stations, 12 recorded air quality in the ‘severe’ category. The stations with the worst air quality were Wazirpur, Bawana and Mundka. However, Lodhi Road recorded the best AQI, still falling within the ‘poor’ range.

According to the Central Pollution Control Board’s (CPCB) Sameer app, Wazirpur recorded the day’s highest AQI at 433, closely followed by Bawana at 429, both falling into the ‘severe’ category. The primary pollutants remained the tiny airborne particles, PM10 (particulate matter measuring ten micrometres) and PM2.5 (particulate matter measuring 2.5 micrometres).

According to CPCB’s classification, an AQI between 0-50 is considered “good", 51-100 “satisfactory", 101-200 “moderate", 201-300 “poor", 301-400 “very poor", and 401-500 “severe”, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).

Delhi Weather

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast shallow fog in the morning, with temperatures expected to reach a maximum of 28 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 10 degrees Celsius.

The national capital on Friday recorded a maximum temperature of 26.4 degrees Celsius (2.1 degrees below normal) and a minimum temperature of 10.2 degrees Celsius (3.3 degrees below normal), the IMD stated.
