Delhi Blast: The ATS team questioned six doctors for four hours at two medical colleges in Hapur. This was the ATS's second visit to the district since the blast in Delhi.
On November 10, a high-intensity blast ripped through a car near Red Fort in Delhi, killing 13 people and injuring several others, hours after the busting of a "white collar terror module" in Faridabad. The arrested included doctors linked to Al-Falah University.
According to intelligence sources as quoted by jagran.com, the ATS team arrived in Hapur on Saturday night and spent four hours at two medical colleges. ATS officials interviewed six doctors. Sources said that these doctors were in constant contact with Dr Farooq. He arranged for them to speak with someone believed to be the high command of his network several times. These conversations may have been related to expanding the anti-national network.
The ATS's investigation focused on the information obtained from Dr Farooq's mobile phone. The team has prepared a report based on the doctors' interrogations. Dr Farooq will now be questioned based on that report. The team may return to the district soon. In addition to taking the passports of the doctors involved, the team has issued strict instructions not to share any information with anyone.
India’s security and intelligence agencies have been on high alert since the explosives were seized in Faridabad.
Meanwhile, raids are being conducted day and night to trace the terrorist's connections following the blast near the Red Fort. The main accused in the Delhi blast were associated with Al Falah University in Faridabad. Doctors working in Hapur have also been found to be connected to the Al Falah University accused.
In this connection, Dr Farooq, a doctor from GS Medical College, was arrested earlier. Meanwhile, the ATS team conducted a secret search in Bahadurgarh and the Pilkhuwa-Dhaulana area.
According to information received by the ATS, Shaheen, an associate of the terrorists, was preparing to form a counter-national squad of women in Hapur and Saharanpur. The ATS' investigation is now progressing in two areas.
