The Hindustan Times report quoted Kiran Sachdeva, a local resident in her 60s, recounting her experience, stating, "It wasn't like a firecracker; the sound was incredibly loud. For 15 to 20 minutes, there was smoke everywhere." She described the blast as having an "earthquake-like" impact, with her home located approximately 200-250 metres from the site.

Anita Singh had just returned from the temple when she heard the loud explosion. "I felt the vibrations in my house. It felt like someone’s cylinder had exploded nearby. My children's school bus usually comes by here and we stand at this gate in the mornings. Thankfully, since it was a Sunday, no one was hurt. I shudder to think how disastrous it could have been on a weekday," she stated.
