A blast near the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) school in Delhi’s Rohini on Sunday morning triggered panic among residents. The explosion, reported at 7:50 AM, prompted a rapid response from emergency services, including fire engines, the bomb squad and police forensic teams. No injuries were reported in the incident.
The Delhi Fire Services (DFS) stated that they received a call about the blast at 7:50 AM and promptly dispatched two fire engines to the location. Upon arrival, fire officials found no active fire and confirmed no casualties, allowing their team to leave shortly after. However, the explosion caused considerable damage to the school’s boundary wall, nearby shops, and a parked car.

An eyewitness who was on his terrace when the blast occurred, described the explosion as intense. ''The whole house shook,'' he said, adding that he initially thought it might have been a gas cylinder explosion due to nearby eateries.
Initial forensic reports suggest that the material used in the explosion resembled a crude bomb, news agency ANI reported citing sources from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL). Although there is no evidence of a terror connection as of yet, the final assessment will depend on the full forensic report, which is still pending.
