Delhi BMW Accident: Three people were seriously injured late last night in Delhi’s Vasant Kunj when a speeding Mercedes G-Wagon rammed into pedestrians. The accident occurred on Saturday night outside Ambience Mall in southwest Delhi.

According to a News18 report, a Mercedes G-Wagon, registered in Himachal Pradesh, veered off the road and struck three pedestrians on the footpath. The impact was so severe that the victims were thrown several metres, sustaining severe injuries.

According to the eyewitnesses, the car was speeding and appeared out of control moments before the accident. Bystanders quickly alerted the authorities and rushed to help the victims until the emergency services arrived at the spot.

All three injured were immediately rushed to the nearby hospital for medical treatment. Officials stated Rohit, 23, a resident of Chamoli in Uttarakhand, was declared brought dead, while the other two- aged 35 and 23- are currently undergoing treatment, NDTV reported. Their identities have not yet been disclosed.

The police officials have confirmed that the driver, Shivam, has been taken into custody, and the vehicle has been seized for forensic examination. Investigators are probing whether speeding, reckless driving, or other factors led to the accident.

The Delhi Police have launched an investigation and are reviewing CCTV footage from the area to determine the sequence of events. The officials are also investigating whether the driver was under the influence of alcohol or any other substance at the time of the crash.
