SpiceJet flight SG 8172 departing from Goa to Delhi experienced a delay of over 7 hours, causing significant discomfort to passengers. Originally scheduled to take off from Dabolim Airport at 8.20 PM on June 19, the flight got rescheduled several times on the same day. The passengers were stranded at the airport for hours without proper arrangements.
A passenger, Akshita Mishra, sharing her harrowing experience told Jagran English that several people were made to wait for long hours without any refreshments or cancellation updates. When asked about the reason for the delay, the airline staff did not provide any valid answer. "People were fainting infront of them, but they didn't show any concern, instead the staff were being rude to us," she said.
"After waiting for so long, we finally boarded the flight at 4.20 AM on Thursday," she added.

They were sweating a lot and some even felt unwell. In the video, shared by news agency ANI, passengers can be seen sweating profusely.
One of the passengers, Rohan Kumar, said that the air conditioning was not switched on for an hour. He said the AC was turned on only when the flight took off.
In another incident, a SpiceJet flight departing from Mumbai Airport experienced a delay for about two hours, causing trouble to the passengers.
