A video purportedly showing a pothole on the recently inaugurated Delhi-Dehradun Expressway has gone viral on social media, sparking widespread reactions and reigniting concerns over infrastructure quality and accountability.
The expressway was inaugurated on April 14, 2026, and the clip, which surfaced just days later, has drawn attention as it appears to show damage on the high-profile project soon after its launch. However, the authenticity of the video and the exact location of the footage have not been independently verified.
The video was uploaded on Instagram two days ago by a user identified as @guljar_malik_gm and has since seen significant engagement. In the clip, a man films what appears to be a large pothole along the roadside while questioning the quality of the newly opened expressway.

During the recording, he remarks that the road was inaugurated on April 14 and potholes have already begun to appear, a claim that has resonated with many users online.
The post has amassed over 1 million views, more than 40,000 likes, and upwards of 2,000 comments, making it one of the most widely discussed viral videos related to the expressway in recent days.
Several users said such issues can occur in newly constructed highways due to soil settling, arguing that minor surface problems are not uncommon in the early stages even after extensive compression work.
