Delhi DEVI Electric Bus Service: To strengthen last-mile connectivity across the capital, the Delhi government has expanded the DEVI (Delhi Electric Vehicle Interconnector) bus service to 12 more routes. This expansion is expected to greatly benefit residents of West and Outer Delhi, where access to local public transport has long been a challenge.
The DEVI initiative, part of the city’s push for eco-friendly and affordable mobility, is seeing rapid growth. With Hundreds of DEVI buses currently on the roads and more being added from the Narela depot, the service is now active on 56 routes, up from the earlier 44. Each bus route has a unique number, clearly displayed at stops for easy identification.

These are 9-metre-long electric mini-buses, designed to operate in areas with limited public transport options. As per Jagran.com, fares remain pocket-friendly to encourage daily commuters to shift to greener alternatives.
How Many DEVI Buses Are Running in Delhi?
As of now, over 400 DEVI buses are on the roads across Delhi. During the launch on May 2, Delhi’s Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced that the number would rise to 2,080 by the end of 2025.

Key Features of DEVI Electric Buses:
- Operates on 12-kilometre routes, making multiple trips daily
- Each bus has 23 seats, including 6 pink seats reserved for women
- Fully charges in 45 minutes, offering a range of up to 225 km
- Equipped with CCTV cameras and panic buttons for passenger safety

The Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) has deployed the new DEVI buses on the following 12 routes, covering over 50 localities:
- Dwarka Sector-11 Metro Station to Dwarka Sector-21 Metro Station
- Madhuban Chowk to Lakhiram Park (Rohini Sector-22)
- Dhichaon Kalan Depot to Pandwala Kalan
- Dwarka Sector-21 Metro Station to Palam Extension
- Dhansa Stand Metro Station to Jharoda Kalan Border
- Qamruddin Nagar to GTK Bypass
- Qamruddin Nagar to Najafgarh Jharoda Crossing
- Qamruddin Nagar to Rajdhani College, Raja Garden
- Qamruddin Nagar to Punjabi Bagh Terminal
- Qamruddin Nagar to Uttam Nagar Terminal
