Earthquake In Delhi: Tremors were felt across Delhi-NCR for a few seconds on Friday evening. As per the National Centre for Seismology, Haryana's Jhajjar was once again the epicentre of the earthquake, 10 kilometres below the Earth's surface. Delhi-NCR is located in India’s Seismic Zone IV and is prone to mild to moderate earthquakes. This comes after a 4.4 magnitude quake jolted the national capital and nearby areas on Thursday morning.
As per the NCS, the earthquake of Magnitude 3.7 struck Jhajjar at 7:49 pm on Friday.

Just a day ago, strong tremors were felt in Noida, Gurugram and Ghaziabad on Thursday. The epicentre of the earthquake was 10 kilometres below the Earth's surface in Jhajjar, Haryana.

Tremors were also felt in several UP cities, including Baghpat, Shamli and Meerut. In Haryana, the earthquake was felt in cities including Jhajjar, Faridabad, Jind and Sonipat. People residing in high-rise buildings and houses across the affected area rushed out in panic after witnessing the tremors.

As panic prevailed, Delhi metro services came to a halt temporarily, prompting questions like why the metro stops during an earthquake, but regular trains continue to run yesterday.
On February 17, a 4.0-magnitude quake hit near Dhaula Kuan in central Delhi. The shallow quake, just 5 km deep, caused noticeable tremors that led many people to rush out of their homes in fear. However, there were no major damages.
