Delhi Elections 2025: As the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025 approach, Congress has unveiled its third major promise to attract voters. The party announced the "Yuva Udaan Yojana," which pledges to provide unemployed youth with a monthly stipend of Rs 8,500 for one year, along with a one-year apprenticeship program to enhance their skills and improve job prospects.

This announcement follows Congress's earlier guarantees, including the "Pyari Didi Yojana," which offers Rs 2,500 monthly financial assistance for women, and a Rs 25 lakh insurance plan for every Delhi resident.

Congress’s Third Guarantee: Support for Unemployed Youth

On January 12, Congress introduced its third major poll promise aimed at reducing unemployment. Senior leader Sachin Pilot revealed the plan during a press briefing, stating that the scheme is designed to support educated but jobless youth. The program will provide financial assistance and practical training to help them secure jobs.

Key leaders like Delhi Congress President Devendra Yadav, state in-charge Qazi Nizamuddin, and NSUI President Varun Chaudhary were present during the announcement.

Key Features of the Yuva Udaan Yojana

During the announcement, Sachin Pilot emphasized Congress’s focus on addressing unemployment and skill development. He criticized the ruling AAP government and BJP for their lack of substantial contributions to Delhi’s development. "In recent years, Delhi has only witnessed blame games and unfulfilled promises. Congress is committed to bringing real change," he said.

Previous Poll Promises by Congress

The Yuva Udaan Yojana follows two earlier commitments by Congress:

1. Pyari Didi Yojana: A scheme offering Rs 2,500 monthly financial aid for women.

Delhi Congress Chief Devendra Yadav slammed the AAP and BJP, accusing them of failing to address pressing issues like corruption and crime. He stated, "Both parties have turned Delhi into a hub of inefficiency and mismanagement. Congress is prepared to fight this election with full determination."
