Delhi Election 2025: Ahead of voting for Delhi assembly election, the Delhi Police on Tuesday registered case against Delhi Chief Minister Atishi for violating the Model of Conduct. Apart from this, a case was also filed against her supporters for obstructing government work. The police informed that Atishi arrived at Fateh Singh Marg with ten vehicles and many supporters, adding that she refused to leave when the officials asked her to do so.
DCP South East Delhi in a reply to Atishi's post on X stated that the AAP supporters had violated several rules. "On February 4 at 12:30 am, AAP candidate from Kalkaji with 50-70 people & 10 vehicles was found at Fateh Singh Marg. Police instructed them to vacate due to Model Code of Conduct (MCC). On complaint by FST (Flying Squad Team), a case u/s 223 BNS & 126 RP Act registered at PS Govindpuri," DCP South East Delhi posted.
Apart from this, a case was also filed against Ramesh Bidhuri's nephew Manish Bidhuri for violation of MCC. The police informed about this in a reply to the post of Delhi CM in which she accused that no action is being taken against Bidhuri's nephew even after he is violating the rules.
"In this matter, taking cognizance of the complaint against Manish Bidhuri & Ravi Dayama for violation of MCC, legal case u/s 126 RP Act has been registered against them in PS Govindpuri," DCP South East Delhi replied.
The DCP South East Delhi in another post on X said that AAP members Ashmit and Sagar Mehta obstructed and assaulted a Head Constable. "On 04/02/25, at 00:59 hrs, a gathering was reported at Baba Fateh Singh Marg, Govindpuri. HC Kaushal Pal responded & began videography. AAP members Ashmit & Sagar Mehta obstructed & assaulted him," it said.
Amid several actions, AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal accused Delhi police of biasness and alleged that the whole system was working against the incumbent government.
