According to a report by news agency ANI, citing Delhi Police sources, investigators are of the view that the driver of the car, identified as Umar Un Nabi, intended to carry out an explosion at a later date. However, when the Faridabad terror module was busted in the day and a huge amount of ammonium nitrate was seized, he allegedly shifted to a fidayeen-style operation, to maximise casualties and avoid capture by police.
