Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Namo Bharat Corridor Update: Namo Bharat Corridor between Delhi, Ghaziabad and Meerut under Rapid Rail Transit System(RRTS) completes track laying work at its last station in Meerut’s Modipuram. The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has announced the completion of track work at the final station on the 82-kilometre transit system.

The development comes as the corridor is expected to begin operation by mid-2025. Civil and finishing work is taking place on the Meerut section of the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut corridor at a rapid pace, as per NCRTC. "Track laying work has recently been completed at Modipuram, the last Namo Bharat station (towards Meerut) of this corridor," said NCRTC in an X post.

Modipuram station will accommodate both Namo Bharat and Meerut Metro services.

The under-construction foot overbridge aims to connect both sides of the highway, making it more easily accessible.

Currently, Namo Bharat trains operate along a 55-kilometre stretch from New Ashok Nagar in Delhi to Meerut South, serving 11 stations. The corridor's extension to Modipuram will complete the envisioned 82-kilometre route, significantly reducing travel time between Delhi and Meerut to under an hour.

The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has successfully electrified the section between New Ashok Nagar and Sarai Kale Khan on the corridor and commenced trial runs.
