A firing incident at Delhi's GTB hospital claimed the life of 32-year-old Riyazuddin on Sunday. Now, an initial investigation into the matter has revealed that the deceased was "mistakenly killed" and the attackers came with the intention of killing Wasim (33), a declared criminal of Shastri Park police station, who was admitted in the same ward.
The family claims that Welcome police station's gangster Sameer Baba had sent his henchmen to kill Wasim but they mistakenly killed Riyazuddin and left. He was reportedly shot by an 18-year-old who barged into the ward while other patients and targeted the victim.
The three miscreants who entered the ward belonged to gangster Hashim Baba's gang, and the firing was a result of gang war, according to a report by NDTV.
According to the Delhi Police, two of the three accused, identified as Faiz (20) and Farhan have been arrested by the police.
