Delhi Metro News:  Following the protests over the arrest of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi Metro announced the closure of two metro stations until further notice on Friday evening. The ITO metro station, which was earlier closed from 8 am to 6 pm on Friday, will not be reopened until further orders.

Two Delhi Metro Stations Closed Tomorrow

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation also announced the closure of Lok Kalyan Metro station for now, without specifying any details about the reopening time and date. Notably, the official residence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on the Lok Kalyan Marg.

"On advice of Delhi Police, Lok Kalyan Marg Metro station will also remain closed in addition to ITO Metro station till further notice," DMRC said in an official announcement.

The action of DMRC came following the orders of the police.

Delhi Metro News: Late Services On Holi

Apart from the closure of these two metro stations, DMRC also announced the late start of service at all metro stations on Monday due to the festival of Holi. The services at all metro stations will start from 2:30 pm on March 25, 2024.

"On the day of the ‘Holi festival, i.e. 25th March 2024 (Monday), Metro services will NOT be available till 2:30 PM on all Lines of the Delhi Metro including Rapid Metro/Airport Express Line," said DMRC in an 'X' update.
