Delhi Metro: Uber has rolled out a new feature allowing users in Delhi to book Delhi Metro tickets directly through its app. The facility is powered by the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC), marking Uber’s first collaboration with India’s digital public infrastructure.

With this launch, commuters in Delhi can now plan their metro routes, buy QR-based tickets and view real-time transit updates using the Uber app. The service aims to simplify public transport access by offering a one-stop mobility solution.

The Times Of India report cited Uber as stating that, this feature will be extended to three more Indian cities in 2025. The company is also preparing to launch a B2B logistics service through the ONDC platform, which will help businesses access on-demand deliveries without needing their own fleet.

The integration comes after an MoU was signed in 2024 during Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi’s visit to India. At the time, Uber had committed to working with ONDC to support India’s digital public goods and improve urban mobility.
