The Delhi Government has selected 70 locations across the city to establish its first Ayushman Arogya Mandirs (AAM). The Public Work Department (PWD), tasked with constructing these medical centers, has been instructed to complete the work by May 31. The government has planned to establish a total number of 1,139 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs (AAM) within the next 12 months. Some of these centres will be created by renovating existing polytechnics and Mohalla Clinics, which are primary healthcare centres established by the previous Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government.
