Delhi Rain News: Residents are still waiting for spells of rain despite the forecast date for the monsoon arrival in Delhi being June 24. The India Meteorological Department, which has continuously been issuing a yellow alert for rain in the city, but there have not been any showers in the city recently, has predicted that rain may arrive in the city in the next 2 to 3 days.

The southwest monsoon stalled just outside Delhi, in contrast to its advance in most parts of the country. Most of the Northwest parts of India, including Punjab and Haryana, witnessed the arrival of monsoon rains, except the national capital, as of June 27. Now, monsoon is expected to reach Delhi and the remaining parts of western Rajasthan in the next 2-3 days, against the usual date being June 27.

In the meantime, Delhi is sweltering under intense heat, with temperatures surging 2-4°C in the past 24 hours. Daytime highs are ranging from 35°C to 38°C, while nighttime lows are between 26°C and 29°C. High humidity is exacerbating the discomfort, making life challenging for residents.

According to the weather forecast issued by IMD, no significant changes in temperature are expected, while cloudy skies are anticipated. If everything goes according to the forecast, generally, the entire country is covered by monsoon by July 8. Delhi will receive its monsoon rain in the next few days.
