Delhi Weather News: The national capital, Delhi, is witnessing moderate to light rainfall as part of pre-monsoon showers, as residents brace for monsoon rains in the coming few days. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds at speeds of 30 to 40 kilometres per hour in Delhi on Monday.

The national capital recorded a maximum temperature of 36.2 degrees Celsius, 1.3 degrees below the seasonal average, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
The city recorded a light rainfall of 0.1 mm accompanied by winds on Saturday.
According to Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) data, Delhi's air quality was categorised as "satisfactory" on Sunday at 4 pm, with an Air Quality Index (AQI) reading of 98.

The city is set to see largely cloudy weather over the next seven days, with the IMD issuing a yellow alert for thunderstorms, lightning, and moderate to light rainfall through June 27.

Gusty winds of 30-40 kmph are expected, with occasional surges up to 50 kmph during evening thunderstorms. Rainfall intensity may vary, but there's relief from heatwave conditions this week. Skies are likely to remain cloudy from June 24 to June 27.
