Delhi: Youth Stabbed To Death In Rohini, Two Juveniles Among Three Arrested

In Delhi's Rohini area, a young man was stabbed to death by three individuals, including two juveniles, driven by an old enmity. The incident occurred on the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday and a call regarding the incident was received at Aman Vihar police station.

The injured victim, identified as Anshul, was urgently transported to Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital Mangolpuri, where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment. The police identified and apprehended an 18-and-a-half-year-old suspect named Sumit Sagar, along with two juveniles in connection with the crime.

DCP Guriqbal Singh Sidhu of Rohini revealed that Anshul, a resident of Aman Vihar, had been stabbed in the left thigh by the accused boys. The police initiated a case under relevant sections of the IPC, preserving the body for further investigation.

"Police team reached the hospital and came to know that the injured succumbed to the injuries during the treatment.The deceased was identified as Anshul, a resident of Aman Vihar and he was stabbed on his left thigh by the alleged boys," said the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Rohini) Guriqbal Singh Sidhu, as reported by news agency IANS.

The investigative team, with the help of CCTV footage, technical surveillance, and human intelligence, successfully solved the murder case. The police recovered two knives used in the crime and related clothing. Notably, the primary suspect, Sumit Sagar, has a history of involvement in multiple criminal cases.

According to the DCP, the accused confessed to have a previous enmity with the deceased, citing revenge as the motive behind the stabbing.

"Accused Sumit Sagar alias Anda has previously been found involved in many criminal cases.
As per the accused, they had previous enmity with the deceased and in order to take revenge they had stabbed the deceased on his thigh," the DCP added.
