Delhi-NCR Weather: Delhi, Noida and Gurugram were hit by dust storms and strong winds on Tuesday afternoon, reducing visibility significantly. The weather change also brought down mercury and provided relief to residents from the hot and humid weather prevailing over the last few days.

On Tuesday, Delhi's minimum temperature was recorded at 26.8 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, the maximum temperature is expected to hover around 39 to 40 degrees Celsius. Partial cloud cover will prevail throughout the day.

IMD Forecasts Rain, Thunderstorms Across Multiple States
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heavy rain alert in multiple states for Tuesday. As per the weather body, severe thunderstorms and rain are expected from Bihar to Bengal and the Northeast, and from Jammu and Kashmir to Kerala.
As per IMD, thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and strong winds are likely in some areas until June 25. The areas include - Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh, Uttarakhand, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, the Gangetic plains of West Bengal, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh.
According to the IMD bulletin, heavy to very heavy rain is forecast for Assam, Meghalaya, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, and Sikkim. Heavy rainfall is also possible in Bihar, Arunachal Pradesh, coastal Karnataka, central Maharashtra, Goa, Odisha, Telangana, Kerala, and several northeastern states.
