Delhi News:  An official stated on Sunday that 23 women, including three minors and ten Nepalese nationals, were saved when the Delhi Police busted a sex racket that was active in the Paharganj neighbourhood in Central Delhi.

Teams from the Paharganj Police Station, Shardhanand Marg Police Post, and Himmatgarh Police Post collaborated on the operation, which resulted in the arrest of seven people involved in human trafficking.

“Based on inputs and surveillance, police identified key locations involved in the illegal trade. The accused were allegedly luring women from West Bengal, Nepal, and other states under false pretences and forcing them into prostitution," a senior police officer said.

Before being transferred to other hotels, they were kept in a room in the main market area of Paharganj.

According to the officer, teams carried out surveillance and set up dummy clients at suspicious sites prior to the operation.
