Delhi Pollution News: The sky in Delhi is partially cloudy, and the temperature has increased slightly on Wednesday as compared to the last day. Also, due to low wind speed, the air index has once again crossed 200.

According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), Delhi's air quality index was 213 on Wednesday morning, which is in the poor category. On Tuesday, the air quality index was 198 in the moderate category. The air quality index in Anand Vihar has remained above 400 for the second consecutive day and 433 in the morning, which is in the severe category. It is currently the most polluted in Delhi. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the air quality in the national capital will remain in the poor category for the next two days.

The minimum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 19 degrees Celsius on Wednesday. The temperature has increased due to partial clouds in the sky. The maximum temperature is expected to be 34 degrees Celsius. The sky is predicted to be clear from Thursday.

To control air pollution in capital, the Delhi government has directed to strictly implement the rules of Grape-1. In this regard, Chief Minister Atishi held a high-level meeting in the Delhi Secretariat on Tuesday and reviewed the current situation.

The government decided that 99 teams will inspect government and private construction sites to prevent dust pollution. In this, 33-33 teams of DPCC, Revenue Department, and Industry Department have been formed. These teams will send their report to the Green War Room, Environment Minister, and Chief Minister's Office every day.

Various agencies will install 324 anti-smog guns in the capital. Of these, PWD will install 200, DMRC 80, MCD 30, and RRTS 14 anti-smog. Along with this, all departments, including PWD and MCD, have been instructed to complete the work of repairing the roads as soon as possible. Along with this, the Chief Minister has appealed to the people of Delhi to do car pooling, not to burn crackers and garbage, and to give information about pollution on the Green Delhi App.

In a press conference with Environment Minister Gopal Rai after the review meeting, Chief Minister Atishi said that due to increasing AQI, GRAP-1 has been implemented in Delhi from Monday evening. She said that 79 teams of MCD will work during the day and 75 teams at night to remove the debris. Apart from this, 116-116 teams will be deployed for day and night to prevent burning of garbage in the open.
