Delhi Power Cut: BSES, Delhi's power distribution company, has alerted the capital’s residents of a scheduled power outage on August 7, Thursday. As per BSES Yamuna Power Limited, the electricity cut will occur in view of maintenance, replacement work and network maintenance works. Power cuts will occur in Yamuna Vihar and Nand Nagari areas.

In another update, several parts of Chennai will face scheduled power outages on Thursday, August 7, as the Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (TANGEDCO) carries out essential maintenance work. The power supply will be interrupted from 9 am to 2 pm, though officials have stated that electricity may be restored earlier if work is completed ahead of schedule.

The temporary power cut is necessary for improving infrastructure and ensuring the safety of the power distribution system, TANGEDCO said. Maintenance activities are planned across various divisions, and residents in the affected areas are advised to make necessary arrangements.
