Delhi Rains: Delhiites on Friday morning woke up to heavy rainfall, bringing respite from the scorching heat. However, the heavy downpour also created chaos after a portion of the roof collapsed on cars, including taxis at Terminal-1 of New Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA), killing one person and injuring several others. Alongside the airport incident, the overnight rainfall in Delhi-NCR caused waterlogging in various parts, creating problems for commuters.
Following the airport incident, Civil Aviation Minister K Rammohan Naidu visited the spot and said a detailed investigation of the structure at the airport will be carried out.
