Several areas in Delhi are witnessing massive waterlogging due to heavy rainfall across the national capital. From major roads to residential areas, water accumulation has caused inconvenience to the residents. In the Goyla Dairy area, the road subsided, causing trouble for people as their vehicles got stuck. Local residents assisted in getting the vehicles out.

In central Delhi and old Delhi areas such as Ballimaran, Delhi Gate, Daryaganj, Jama Masjid, Sadar Bazaar, and Matia Mahal, people faced problems due to waterlogging. While there wasn’t much water on the main roads, the waterlogging in residential areas caused difficulties for residents in moving around.

In East Delhi, intermittent rainfall led to waterlogging on major roads and lanes across Yamuna Par. The roads in areas like Pandav Nagar underpass, Mandawali, NH-9 service road, Jhilmil underpass, and Mayur Vihar Phase-3 were submerged. Additionally, water accumulated in the lanes of Saboli, Mandoli, Sabhapur, and Shriram Colony.

On Patparganj Road, near Ganesh Nagar, waterlogging up to two feet made it difficult for people to pass through. Additionally, due to recent work by the water board on this road, the surface became slippery as soil turned into mud due to downpours. The rainfall caused many people to cancel their weekend travel plans as well.

In various parts of outer Delhi, intermittent rainfall from Sunday morning to evening resulted in waterlogging on major roads as well as in colony streets. Due to the waterlogging, vehicles moved slowly on the roads. On the road adjacent to Sarvodaya Bal Vidyalaya School in Rohini Sector 20, water accumulated up to knee level, making it difficult for people to pass through.

The Delhi Municipal Corporation received complaints of waterlogging at 10 locations and fallen trees or their parts at 16 locations across the capital. According to the Corporation, reports of fallen trees or tree parts came from various places including Sham Nath Marg, Bipin Dharmakanta Mundka, DDA Flats Kalkaji, Madipur Mother Dairy, DTC Colony Nanakpura, Janata Flats Chunni Lal School, and Syndicate Bank Rajouri Garden.
