MP News: The Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, Mohan Yadav, announced a series of initiatives during a visit to Mandla on Sunday. He made an announcement regarding the Ujjwala scheme, stating that the government will provide a discount of Rs 450 on every gas cylinder under the Ujjwala scheme. He further expressed the government’s intention to introduce more such bonus schemes for the people of Madhya Pradesh, including bonuses on paddy and milk in the coming time.
The Chief Minister also mentioned the celebrations of the Raksha Bandhan festival, which was observed simultaneously at 25,000 places across the state. He expressed his joy in seeing the sisters express their love and affection towards their brothers.
Additionally, Yadav shared that during a program in the neighboring district of Sheopur, he had transferred Rs 1,250 under the Ladli Behna Yojana and Rs 250 as a Raksha Bandhan shagun (gift) to the bank accounts of approximately 1.29 crore women with a single click.
Meanwhile, the government is set to consolidate the state's finance development corporations. Currently, three separate corporations provide financial assistance and self-employment opportunities to the youth from scheduled castes, tribes and backward classes. However, the government believes that the work of these corporations is largely similar and merging them will streamline the process.
A committee has been formed under the chairmanship of an Additional Chief Secretary-level officer to prepare an action plan for this restructuring. The aim is to simplify the application and loan disbursement process, making it more accessible for the target beneficiaries. This move is expected to enhance the effectiveness of the government's economic welfare schemes and provide better support for self-employment among the underprivileged youth in Madhya Pradesh.
