Al-Falah University Update: The scrutiny around Al-Falah University, a medical college cum hospital, is growing deeper with every passing day, as the founder, Jawad Ahmed Siddiqui, has allegedly been involved in forgery and money laundering. Before Al Falah University's founder was nabbed for alleged financial irregularities, a few of its students had been found involved in alleged terror activities.
In an added layer of pressure against Al Falah University, the Military Headquarters of War (MHOW) Cantonment Board in Indore on Thursday issued a notice asking Siddiqui’s family to vacate their ancestral home. The MHOW has asked the family to vacate the house within three days, and the demolition will begin after that.
Property Declared Illegal 30 Years Ago
As per the officials, the house was declared illegal nearly 30 years ago. The property in question is registered in Siddiqui's father's name, who had served the city as Shaher Qazi for around 20 years.
As per Vikas Kumar Vishnoi, Cantonment chief executive officer, the property is held under a British-era grant that permitted only residential use. The house was reconstructed in 1995-96, and Jawad Siddiqui had sought registration and transfer of ownership. But authorities ruled that the four-storey structure violated provisions of the Cantonment Act.
According to Vishnoi, the demolition order was issued after the recent review, confirming that the structure was illegal and 'three notices were issued between 1996 and 1997'.
Delhi Red Fort Blast And Al-Falah University
The scrutiny around Al-Falah University has grown deeper after the alleged Delhi bomber in the Delhi Red Fort blast case, the alleged suicide bomber Dr Umar un-Nabi, his accomplices Dr Muzammil Shakeel Ganaie and Dr Shaheen Shahid served at the organisation.

On the other hand, founder Jawad Ahmed Siddiqui has been accused of financial irregularities. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday arrested Siddiqui after search operations were carried out over 25 locations in Delhi and Faridabad. Siddiqui was sent to 13 days’ custody on Wednesday after the agency alleged that Al-Falah University enriched itself 'at the cost of students’ trust, future and legitimate expectations,' securing a hefty donation income of Rs 415.1 crore that ED claims is 'proceeds of crime.'
