In a chilling incident, a 15-year-old boy abducted and murdered a four-year-old boy by throwing him off a 30-foot cliff in Central Delhi’s Anand Parbat area to take revenge on the toddler's mother.
The Delhi Police on Sunday said that they have apprehended the minor accused, who is a school dropout and studied up to Class 10. According to a report by The Indian Express, the police got a complaint regarding the kidnapping of the victim.
In their complaint, the victim's family stated that he returned home from tuition at around 6:30 pm and was playing near the house but went missing after some time.
The police filed a case in the matter and started an investigation. As part of the investigation, the police scrutinised the CCTV footage from the neighbourhood and spotted the missing boy with the minor accused.

Accused confesses crime
The complainant identified the accused boy as her neighour after which the police apprehended and quizzed him. During the interrogation, the juvenile confessed to kidnapping and murdering the child. The police said that the accused's family lives in the same premises as the victim on rent.
Both have a shop there, and due to the previous quarrels, there is an enmity between the two families. Speaking about the motive behind the act, Nidhi Valsan, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Central Delhi, said that the accused took his house owner's motorcycle and abandoned it in another locality on the day of the incident.
The mother of the victim, however, informed to the house owner, after which the accused's father scolded and beat him up. Angered by this, the accused lured the victim from outside his house to the jungle area of Ramjas Park. In the jungle, he pushed the kid from a 30-foot cliff.

To kill him, he struck the child with a stone. He left the child in an injured condition and returned home, the police said. Based on the juvenile's confession, the police rescued the boy and admitted to a hospital. However, on Saturday evening, the child succumbed to his injuries. After his death, the police added murder charges to the FIR.
