Delhi News: A 17-year-old boy was reportedly stabbed to death inside a friend’s house in Jahangirpuri, Delhi, on Saturday afternoon. The attack, allegedly carried out by three juveniles, stemmed from a personal dispute. A senior police officer confirmed that a murder case has been filed against the suspects and efforts are underway to locate and arrest them as soon as possible.

According to a complaint filed by the victim's childhood friend, Rajveer, 22, the victim had visited Rajveer's rented flat in E Block with his girlfriend around 4 PM. To provide them with some privacy, Rajveer went to his landlord Vinod Kumar’s apartment on the third floor. After about half an hour, the victim informed Rajveer that he was leaving, prompting Rajveer to head back downstairs. By that time, the couple had already departed.

Shortly after, while Rajveer was on the verandah, he saw his friend running towards him, visibly distressed. “He tried to lock the door from the inside, but three acquaintances followed him and attempted to force their way in,” Rajveer recounted to the police.

In his complaint, Rajveer mentioned that one of the attackers was armed with a locally made pistol, while another wielded a knife. “They barged into the room and began to beat him. During the struggle, one of them fired a shot, but it missed,” Rajveer said.

He further detailed that while two assailants held his friend, they instructed the third, who had the knife, to kill him. “He then stabbed my friend in the chest and he fell near the room’s entrance as the attackers fled,” Rajveer told authorities.

Upon hearing the chaos, Vinod Kumar, the landlord, rushed down from the third floor. Together with Rajveer, they took the injured boy to BJRM Hospital in an e-rickshaw, but he was pronounced dead on arrival.

The police were notified and quickly arrived at the hospital and the crime scene. Officers from the crime and forensic teams examined the area, which was found to be covered in blood. They also recovered an empty bullet cartridge and confirmed that the victim had a stab wound on the left side of his chest.

The investigation is ongoing as police work to apprehend the suspects involved in this tragic incident.
