Delhi Rain Today: Residents of Delhi can enjoy pleasant weather today, with sunny intervals and a light breeze. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast a cloudy day ahead, with potential for light rain and thunderstorms.

Delhi Weather Forecast

Looking ahead, the weather forecast from August 17 to August 21 suggests that the city will experience generally overcast skies. Light to moderate rainfall is expected, accompanied by thundershowers and occasional lightning. On August 17, temperatures are predicted to range from a high of 33 degrees Celsius to a low of 26 degrees Celsius, with winds flowing from the southeast to southwest at speeds of 12 to 16 km/h.

The following day, August 18, is expected to see slightly warmer conditions, with the maximum temperature reaching 34 degrees Celsius and the minimum at 27 degrees Celsius, alongside westerly winds at 8 km/h. This trend of similar weather will continue on August 19 and 20, where temperatures are forecasted to hover around 33 degrees Celsius during the day and drop to 26 degrees Celsius at night, with northwesterly winds blowing at 6 to 16 km/h. On August 21, a slight dip in temperature is anticipated, with highs of 32 degrees Celsius and lows of 25 degrees Celsius, also featuring light rain and thunderstorms.

While a yellow alert was issued for Thursday, no heavy rainfall occurred, prompting the meteorological department to retract the alert. Cloudy conditions, along with potential thunderstorms and light rain, are also expected on Friday, with temperatures ranging from a minimum of 27 degrees Celsius to a maximum of 33 degrees Celsius. Saturday's weather is likely to be similar.

Further ahead, heavy rainfall is predicted from Sunday to Tuesday and a yellow alert has been issued for those days.

Delhi Air Quality

In terms of air quality, Delhi's index was recorded at 71 on Thursday, falling within the "satisfactory" category. Following the rain and winds, the air quality is expected to remain at similar levels over the next few days.
