The National Highway Authority (NHAI) has opened a new four-lane highway from Harabagh in Sundernagar to Kiratpur, which has reduced the travel time for buses from Manali to Delhi by two hours. Previously, the buses used to take 12 hours to reach Delhi, but now they can do it in 10 hours.
The Transport Corporation has instructed some of its buses to use the new highway via Bilaspur Goni and Swarghat, instead of the old route. Luxury bus services from Manali are also using the new highway to provide convenience to the passengers. Moreover, to avoid the traffic jams in Ner Chowk, luxury buses are taking the Ner Chowk bypass.
The Transport Corporation has made changes in some routes and timetables for this purpose. All luxury buses from Manali will bypass Ner Chowk while passengers who want to go to Ner Chowk could get luxury buses at Dadaur village in Mandi district. The same highway will be used by other buses as well.
