Delhi Traffic Advisory On July 23: The Delhi Traffic Police has issued a comprehensive traffic advisory for commuters travelling through IP Marg, Vikas Marg, and the Ring Road stretch between Rajghat and IP Depot- in Central Delhi on -Tuesday, July 23, 2025. The advisory is in light of the 70th Year Program of Bhartiya Majdoor Sangh, being held at the KD Jadhav Wrestling Hall, Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, from 10 AM to 5 PM. Commuters are urged to plan their journeys in advance and avoid these key stretches during the event hours.

In an official post on X, the Delhi Traffic Police stated, "In connection with traffic arrangements for the 70th Year Program of Bhartiya Majdoor Sangh at KD Jadhav Wrestling Hall, IG Indoor Stadium on 23.07.2025. Traffic restrictions/diversions likely on IP Marg, Vikas Marg & Ring Road (Rajghat to IP Depot) from 10 AM to 5 PM. No entry for heavy vehicles & buses from Rajghat to IP Marg. Use alternate routes. Avoid the area. Follow traffic signs and on-ground personnel."

Delhi Traffic Restrictions and Diversions

As per the advisory, movement on several arterial roads may be restricted or diverted between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM depending on traffic conditions. Key affected routes include:

- IP Marg (Mahatma Gandhi Marg)

- Vikas Marg

- Ring Road (stretch from Rajghat to IP Depot)

Additionally, heavy vehicles and buses will not be allowed to enter the stretch from Rajghat to IP Marg during this period.

Entry Guidelines to the Stadium

For those attending the event, access to the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium will be via the following gates:

- Gate Nos. 16, 17, & 18 - Entry from MGM Road via Ring Road

- Gate Nos. 21 & 22- Entry also via MGM Road

Parking Arrangements

- Only labeled vehicles will be allowed to park near the stadium.

- Parking labels must be visibly displayed- on the vehicle’s windscreen with the vehicle number clearly mentioned.

- Vehicles without valid parking labels will not be permitted near the venue.

- Vehicles with labels are advised to use Ring Road via MGM Road to access the stadium.

No Parking Zones

Strict no-parking regulations will be enforced on:

- Ring Road from Rajghat to I.P. Flyover (both carriageways)

- Illegally parked vehicles will be towed and prosecuted under applicable traffic laws.

Public Advisory

- Avoid the affected roads during the event window.

- Prefer public transport to ease congestion.

- Plan routes in advance, especially if you need to travel through the vicinity of the stadium.

- Keep track of real-time updates via Delhi Traffic Police’s official social media channels.

- Motorists are requested to cooperate with traffic personnel, follow posted signs, and adhere to traffic rules to ensure a smoother commute.
