Delhi Traffic Advisory: The Delhi Traffic Police issued an advisory on Saturday, urging commuters to brace for traffic diversions and restrictions on August 30 and 31 due to urgent sewer line repair work at 33B Shamnath Marg, Civil Lines. According to the advisory, traffic restrictions will be in place at Mahatma Gandhi Marg and nearby areas from 12:40 PM on both days to facilitate repair work.
The Delhi Traffic Police had advised the commuters to avoid these stretches and use alternate routes to avoid inconvenience.

- In view of the sewer line repair work by the Delhi Jal Board at 33B Shamnath Marg, Civil Lines, vehicular movement will be affected on Mahatma Gandhi Marg (from PS Civil Lines Red Light to IP College Red Light) on August 30 and 31.

- Restrictions will be in place in the surrounding areas from 12:40 PM on both days.
- Authorities have stated that traffic may be diverted or restricted from P.S. Civil Lines Red Light on a need basis.
- However, emergency vehicles will be allowed as required.
- The Delhi Traffic Police has urged commuters to avoid parking on Mahatma Gandhi Marg and other affected routes, as it can lead to traffic congestion.
- “ Vehicles found parked improperly may be towed away as per law,” the advisory stated.

Public Advisory:
Following traffic diversions and restrictions on August 30 and 31, the Delhi Traffic Police has advised commuters to:
- Commuters are advised to use alternate routes and avoid affected stretches on both days.
- If possible, use public transport to reduce traffic congestion.
- Avoid roadside or improper parking, as it may be towed as per law.
- Follow on-ground instructions by Delhi Traffic Police and stay alert via official handles.

“Motorists are requested to remain patient, adhere to traffic rules and cooperate with traffic personnel for a smooth experience. Follow the directions of the police deployed at key intersections,” the advisory read.
