Delhi Traffic Advisory: The Delhi Traffic Police has released a detailed advisory for Sunday, May 18, ahead of the IPL 2025 match between Delhi Capitals and Gujarat Titans. The match will take place at the Arun Jaitley Stadium and is scheduled to begin at 7:30 PM. To manage the crowd and ensure smooth movement of vehicles, traffic restrictions will be enforced from 5:30 PM to midnight.
According to the advisory, movement of heavy vehicles and buses will be restricted on key roads. No entry will be allowed from Daryaganj to Bahadurshah Zafar (BSZ) Marg and from Guru Nanak Chowk to Asaf Ali Road during the restricted hours.

Delhi Traffic Advisory: Restricted Roads
JLN Marg from Rajghat to Delhi Gate till Kamla Market roundabout
Asaf Ali Road from Turkman Gate to Delhi Gate
Bahadurshah Zafar Marg from Delhi Gate to Ramcharan Aggarwal Chowk

To streamline the entry process for spectators, the stadium has designated entry points based on gate numbers:
Gates 1 to 8 (South side) – Accessible via Bahadurshah Zafar Marg
Gates 10 to 15 (East side) – Accessible through JLN Marg near Ambedkar Stadium Bus Terminal
Gates 16 to 18 (West side) – Entry via BSZ Marg near the petrol pump

The advisory also outlines parking arrangements. General parking will not be allowed near the stadium. Only vehicles with valid parking labels will be allowed in the vicinity. These vehicles must display the label and the driver’s contact number on the windscreen.
Designated parking zones for vehicles with valid passes are as follows:
P-1: Four-wheelers at JP Park, opposite Gate No. 3
P-2: Four-wheelers at Vikram Nagar near Shahidi Park
P-3: Two-wheelers near JJB/Prayas Office
P-4: Parking near GLNS School, close to JJB–Prayas Office
Access to these labelled parking areas will be through the Vikram Nagar cut on BSZ Marg near Shahidi Park. Vehicles without labels will be denied entry.

For the general public, free parking is available at locations such as Mata Sundari Road, Rajghat Power House Road and Velodrome Road. A Park and Ride facility will operate from these points with shuttle buses running two hours before the match and for one hour after the match begins. Return services will continue for one hour after the game ends.
App-based taxis must use the service lane on Ring Road between I.P. Flyover and Rajghat Crossing. Pick-up and drop-off points include Gate No. 2 at Maulana Azad Medical College (BSZ Marg) and Rajghat Chowk.
Authorities have warned that unauthorised vehicles parked on restricted routes like BSZ Marg, JLN Marg, and the Ring Road stretch from Rajghat to I.P. Flyover will be towed and penalised.
