Delhi Traffic Advisory:The Delhi Traffic Police has issued a detailed advisory with various restrictions and route diversions in the national capital as United States Vice President JD Vance and Second Lady Usha Vance, of Indian origin, are set to make a four-day visit to India starting today.
The US Veep and Second Lady are expected to land at the Air Force Station at Palam at around 9:30 am. It is the first visit of Vance's to India after becoming the US Vice President.
Detailed advisory
From 9 am to 11 am today
The Delhi Traffic Police has strictly prohibited halting or parking vehicles at Sardar Patel Marg, Thimmaiya Marg, Gurugram Road, Parade Road, Air Force Road, and nearby areas.
Commuters are advised to avoid these routes, as any vehicle parked improperly will be towed and prosecuted. These vehicles will be relocated to the traffic pit near Kalibari Mandir Marg, in front of Bhairon Temple.
Commuters going towards 11 Murti to RML, use Vande Matram Marg from Dhaula Kuan Flyover to R/A Shankar Road, Talkatora Road, and Sheikh Mujib-Ur-Rehman Marg to reach their destinations reach their destinations
Commuters going towards Dhaula Kuan Flyover from IGI Airport or vice versa may use Rao Tula Ram Marg to reach their destinations.
From 11 am to 2 pm today
Between 11 am and 2 pm, some routes in Central Delhi will be diverted to prevent traffic congestion. On C-Hexagon, Janpath Road, Sardar Patel Marg, and surrounding areas, parking or halting vehicles will not be allowed. Same restrictions will apply to Firoz Shah Road, MNLP, Vikas Marg, Noida Link Road, Sikandra Road, Akshardham, and nearby routes.

Alternate routes to take between 11 am to 2 pm
-Commuters going from Dr. Rajender Prasad Marg towards Janpath Marg may use Raisina Road towards round about Windsor place to Ashoka Road to C Hexagon
-Commuters going towards Janpath Marg from Ashoka Road may use round about Windsor place to Ashoka Road to C Hexagon
-Commuters going towards Janpath from outer circle Connaught place (Janpath road) may use Ashoka Road to C Hexagon
-Commuters going towards II Murti to RML may use Vande Matram Marg from Dhaula Kuan Flyover to R/A Shankar Road, Talkatora Road and Sheikh Mujib-Ur-Rehman Marg
-Commuters going towards C HEXAGON from Zakir Hussain Marg may use Mathura Road T-Point to reach their destination
The commuters can also use the following diversion points: Tilak Marg-Bhagwan Dass Road Crossing, Q-Point, R/A Man Singh Road, R/A Jaswant Singh Road, K.G. Marg Mosque, Vande Matram Marg / Simon Bolivar Marg T-Point, Tolstoy-Barakhamba Road Crossing, Jantar Mantar Cut on Raisina Road, Outer Circle Janpath, Outer Circle K.G. Marg, R/A Boota Singh, R/A Rail Bhawan, and R/ARML.
From 6 pm to 9 pm
Between 6 pm to 9 pm, no vehicle will be allowed to halt and park on Sardar Patel Marg, Kamal Ataturk Road, and the surrounding areas. Similar restrictions are placed at Gurugram Road, Parade Road, Thimmaiya Marg and Air Force Road.
