Delhi Triple Murder Case: The 72-year-old occultist, Kamruddin, created outrage after killing three persons in Delhi's Peeragarhi area on February 8. The fresh revelations, emerging from the investigation into the sensational murder, showed that the accused is a professional murderer and he killed at least 8 persons so far and sexually abused several women.

The occultist arrested for allegedly killing three people with poison-laced sweets in the name of tantric rituals to generate wealth in outer Delhi's Peeragarhi has shown "no signs of remorse" during interrogation, a police officer said. Kamruddin alias Baba, a resident of Uttar Pradesh's Firozabad, was arrested on Thursday and sent to five-day police remand.

Delhi Police took him to his home in Ghaziabad's Loni area, where a thorough search of the temple and premises inside the house was conducted. A heavy police presence was deployed at the scene, and Kamruddin was kept away from the media. He was taken about 100 meters from the scene for questioning.

How Kamruddin Convinced Victims

According to police sources, Kamruddin lured the three victims, Randhir, Shiv Naresh, and Lakshmi, into his car from Loni and, under the pretense of performing tantric rituals in the name of Dhanvarsha (sudden financial gain), fed them poisonous laddus (a mixture of sulphas and sleeping pills), which led to their deaths.

Kamruddin Confessed To Killing Eight People

This case isn't just a triple murder, but has become the story of a serial killer. During interrogation, Kamruddin (who called himself Pir Baba or Maulana) has confessed to eight murders so far. These include the recent case in Delhi, a double murder in Firozabad (Uttar Pradesh), and cases in other states. He has a long criminal history and has been charged with murder before. He exploited superstitions and lured people with promises of "wealth showers," "summoning jinns," and "miracles."

What Items Were Recovered From His Home

Investigation revealed that he also sexually exploited women by threatening them with jinns (genie), and most of his victims were from the Hindu community. Tantra-mantra paraphernalia, books on witchcraft, photographs of girls, and documents related to wealth showers were recovered from his home.

Delhi Police said the accused committed the murders with the intent to rob. More evidence is being gathered during searches in Loni. This case is a horrifying mix of superstition, fraud, and brutal murder, exposing the dangerous network of so-called tantriks that pervades society. The police investigation is ongoing, and more revelations are expected soon.

Police have widened the probe into his financial transactions, contacts and possible links to similar murders in other states. "Call detail records and technical surveillance have revealed that the accused was in contact with a large number of people," the officer said.
