Delhi Weather News: Delhi woke up to dense fog on Saturday morning, leading to major disruptions in flight and train services. Reduced visibility created difficulties for commuters and caused delays in transportation schedules. The minimum temperature for the day is forecasted to be 7 degrees Celsius, with a maximum of around 19 degrees Celsius.
According to the Indian Railways, cited by PTI, the foggy weather caused up to 47 trains that were traveling to the national capital to be delayed until 6 am. Fog also caused delays for several flights at the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport, according to news agency ANI.

Rain, Thunderstorms Likely In Delhi
Forecasts from the weather service indicate that the fog will persist for the next three days, followed by "rain or thunderstorms" on January 22 and 23.
Despite the cloudy weather, Delhi Air Quality saw a small improvement at 248. The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) lifted the limitations imposed by Stage III of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) as a result of this progress. Additionally, the AQI level changed from the "severe" to the "very poor" category. This improvement has been attributed to favourable weather conditions. Stage I and Stage II measures are still in place to maintain a close eye and stop more degradation.

“As per the air quality and weather forecast provided by IMD/IITM, there is a likelihood of AQI to remain in lower end of the Very Poor category in the coming days owing to the favourable meteorological conditions and strong wind speeds," the CAQM statement read.
During the winter, the Delhi-NCR region implements GRAP limitations, which divide air quality into four stages: Stage 1 (Poor, AQI 201-300), Stage 2 (Very Poor, AQI 301-400), Stage 3 (Severe, AQI 401-450), and Stage 4 (Severe Plus, AQI above 450).
