Delhi Weather Update: Several parts of Delhi-NCR are currently witnessing light rainfall, bringing much-needed relief from the recent heat. The skies over the capital are covered with dark clouds and the weather has turned pleasant. Residents have welcomed the change, stepping out to enjoy the cool breeze and drizzle.
As per the India Meteorological Department (IMD), cloudy skies are expected to persist throughout Monday. Light rain is likely to continue in many parts of Delhi, along with thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds. Wind speeds may reach 30–40 kmph, with gusts touching up to 50 kmph during the storm. A yellow alert has been issued for both Monday and Tuesday in view of these conditions.

IMD Delhi Weather Forecast: Rain To Continue Till May 9
The IMD also stated that light showers may continue across the capital till May 9. This spell of rain is expected to keep the temperature down and delay the return of heatwave conditions, at least until 11 May.
On Sunday, Delhi recorded a maximum temperature of 36 degrees Celsius, which was 3.3 degrees Celsius below the normal for this time of year. The minimum temperature stood at 24.2 degrees Celsius. Humidity levels ranged between 75 per cent and 41 per cent during the day.

Monday’s forecast suggests a high of around 34 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 25 degrees Celsius. Weather officials confirmed the possibility of more rain and thunder throughout the day, keeping the city’s atmosphere cool and comfortable.
