Delhi Sees Improvement In AQI Levels
Along with cooler temperatures, the rainfall has also helped improve Delhi’s air quality. According to data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the capital’s Air Quality Index (AQI) dropped to 119 on Monday, a significant improvement from 232 recorded a day earlier. The air quality is now in the "moderate" category and is expected to remain so for the next three days.
Neighbouring areas also reported improved air conditions. Ghaziabad recorded an AQI of 79, Greater Noida 84, and Noida 89, all falling under the "satisfactory" category. However, Gurugram remained an outlier, with an AQI of 248, placing it in the "poor" range. According to CPCB, Gurugram experienced the worst air quality in the country on Monday, largely due to local pollution sources.
