Delhi Weather Update: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has withdrawn its heatwave forecast for Delhi over the next three days, starting from Wednesday, and lifted the yellow alert. According to the department, strong winds blowing at 10-20 km/h will prevent a speedy surge in temperature over the next four to five days. Meanwhile, Skymet Weather anticipated that some areas may still experience heat waves.

Delhi witnessed a clear sky with bright sunshine throughout the day on Tuesday. The minimum temperature was recorded at 24 degrees Celsius, three degrees above normal, while the maximum temperature reached 37.9 degrees Celsius, 1.8 degrees above normal. Humidity levels ranged from 66% to 30%. Ayanagar recorded the highest maximum temperature at 38.6 degrees Celsius, and Pitampura recorded the highest minimum temperature at 27.4 degrees Celsius.

Forecast For Wednesday

The Meteorological Department forecasts a clear sky with strong sunshine and strong winds on Wednesday. Partial clouds may appear in the evening, with expected maximum and minimum temperatures of 39 and 24 degrees Celsius, respectively. Some areas may record temperatures around 40 degrees Celsius. On Thursday and Friday, temperatures may cross 40 degrees Celsius in some places.

Air Quality Improves

Delhi's air quality continues to improve, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) recorded at 180 on Tuesday, a moderate category. This marks an 18-point decrease from Monday's AQI of 198. Most NCR cities have AQI levels in the moderate to poor category.

Weather Changes In Other States

Thunderstorms and rain are anticipated in UP, Bihar, and Delhi-NCR. Additionally, states like West Bengal, Jharkhand, Andhra Pradesh, and the Northeast are expected to experience thunderstorms, rain, and lightning From April 18.

Wind Conditions

Strong surface winds at 10- 20 kmph are anticipated and will blow for the next four to five days. The development will prevent the temperature rise.
