The expressway, which is being built at a cost of around Rs 12,000 crore, is expected to be fully operational by October 2025. Once open, it will dramatically cut down travel time between Delhi and Dehradun from the current 6.5 hours to just 2.5 hours, with vehicles allowed to cruise at speeds of up to 100 kmph.
