Delhi-NCR Weather: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a forecast for light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning, along with gusty winds (30–40 km/h), likely at several places across Delhi-NCR on Wednesday.

The IMD has predicted a generally cloudy sky, with a possibility of very light to light rain or thundershowers during the night, followed by another spell of light showers during the early morning hours. The sky is expected to remain partly cloudy throughout the day, with chances of light rain or thundershowers continuing.

According to the weather department, thunderstorms with rain are expected in the city on Wednesday. The minimum and maximum temperatures are likely to hover around 25 degrees C and 34 degrees C, respectively.

Delhi-NCR Receives Overnight Rain Showers

Several parts of the national capital witnessed rainfall late Tuesday night. Areas such as Narela, Bawana, Alipur, Burari, Kanjhawala, Rohini, Badli, Model Town, Azadpur, Pitampura, Delhi University, Mundka, Paschim Vihar, Punjabi Bagh, Rajouri Garden, Patel Nagar, Buddha Jayanti Park, Jafarpur, Najafgarh, Dwarka, Delhi Cantt, Palam, Safdarjung, IGI Airport, Vasant Vihar, Vasant Kunj, Mehrauli, Chhattarpur, Ayanagar, and Deramandi received showers.

Neighbouring NCR regions like Bahadurgarh, Gurugram, Faridabad, Manesar, Ballabhgarh in Haryana, and towns in Uttar Pradesh including Gohana, Gannaur, Sonipat, Kharkhoda, Jhajjar, Farrukhnagar, Sohna, Palwal, Nuh, Aurangabad, Hodal, Deoband, Nazibabad, Muzaffarnagar, Bijnor, Chandpur, Baraut, Baghpat, and Khekra also recorded rainfall.

On Tuesday, the maximum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 32.7 degrees C, one degree below the seasonal average, while the minimum temperature stood at 25.8 degrees C, also a degree below normal, according to the IMD.

Delhi-NCR Weather: IMD Predicts Rain Likely Till August 11

The weather department has predicted partly cloudy skies with chances of very light rain or thundershowers in the region till August 11.

Meanwhile, Delhi's air quality remained in the ‘satisfactory’ category, with an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 97 at 4 PM, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).

According to CPCB, an AQI between zero and 50 is considered "good", 51 to 100 "satisfactory", 101 to 200 "moderate", 201 to 300 "poor", 301 to 400 "very poor", and 401 to 500 "severe"
