Delhi-NRC Weather Today: There was a brief rainfall in a few areas of Delhi and Noida early on Wednesday, July 24. Rain lashed RK Puram and the surrounding suburbs in south Delhi. The India Meteorological Department has issued a "yellow" warning for the nation's capital for the next two days.

The monsoon trough is causing isolated thunderstorms across the region, according to weather officials, who forecast that portions of Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, Meerut, Baghpat, and some other surrounding districts would likely experience moderate to strong rain in the coming hours.

Rain In Delhi On Monday

Residents of Delhi saw an abrupt shift in weather on Monday as the national capital was battered by intense rain. The meteorological department reports that the city's highest temperature was 36.2 degrees Celsius, which is 1.3 degrees above average. At 5:30 PM, the relative humidity was 68 percent.

The meteorological service forecasts light rains on Wednesday, with expected high and low temperatures of 34 and 26 degrees Celsius, respectively.

Delhi's Air Quality

The Central Pollution Control Board reports that around 6 PM, Delhi's Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded in the "satisfactory" category with a reading of 93.

The city saw the highest amount of rainfall in 88 years in June. The IMD reports that between 8:30 AM on June 27 and 8:30 AM on June 28, Delhi received 228 mm of rain. With 235.5 mm of rain in total, June saw its highest 24-hour rainfall total since 1936.
