The residents woke up to cloudy skies with pleasant weather today. The sky is likely to remain cloudy with light rain accompanied by lightning. Temperatures are likely to drop, providing relief to the Delhiites. The IMD has forecast heavy rain in Gurugram on Friday, further worsening the problem of waterlogging and traffic. An orange alert is issued for Gurugram.
Delhi Weather Forecast For July 11
The weather department has predicted light to moderate rain on Friday, accompanied by occasional thunderstorms and lightning. The weather department predicted a humidity level of around 95 per cent, while the maximum temperature is likely to hover around 31 degrees Celsius. The sky is expected to remain cloudy, providing relief from the heat. The IMD has advised citizens to stay updated with the latest weather alerts and take necessary precautions.
Heavy Rain To Continue In Gurugram
The IMD issued an orange alert for heavy rain in Rohtak, Gurugram, Faridabad and Ghajjar. More showers are likely to worsen problems of waterlogging and traffic congestion in Gurugram. Heavy rain started in Gurugram on Wednesday evening and continued into Thursday. The weather station recorded 133 mm of rain between Wednesday evening and Thursday morning. Eight people were killed in Gurugram in rain-related incidents.
Delhi Weather Update: Check Forecast For Weekend
As light rain is likely on Friday, the weather is expected to remain favourable. The weather department has forecast very light to light rain over the weekend, accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning. The national capital may witness overcast skies with a drop in temperature. The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 33-35 degrees Celsius over the weekend. Humidity levels will range between 80-90 per cent for a couple of days.
