Delhi-NCR Weather: Delhi-NCR has been reeling under persistent humid heat for several days now. Since September 8, not a single drop of rain has been recorded across the region.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), there is no rain forecast for Tuesday (Sept 16). Light winds are expected, with minimum temperatures ranging between 23 degrees C to 26 degrees C and maximum temperatures hovering around 34 degrees C to 35 degrees C.

Delhi-NCR Weather: When Will It Rain?

As per Skymet Weather, there’s a high possibility of light rainfall on September 17, 18, and 19. During this period, the weather is likely to remain cloudy. Experts attribute the rain chances to a merging of a western disturbance and low-pressure systems from the southwestern states.

Delhi-NCR Weather: Delhi's Air Quality Worsens

Adding to the discomfort, Delhi’s air quality has started deteriorating. Pollution levels are rising, and a light layer of haze was seen in parts of Delhi and Noida on Tuesday morning. According to IMD, partly cloudy skies are expected today, but no rain is likely before September 18.

At 7 AM, the Air Quality Index (AQI) in Anand Vihar was recorded at 289, and at 6 AM, it had peaked at 299—both falling in the 'poor' category. (AQI between 201 and 300 is considered poor.)
