Pune Murder Case: The investigation into the Ketan Agarwal murder case is ongoing, with police continuing to gather evidence and examine key leads. The case has drawn attention after Ketan’s fiancée, Siya Goyal, and her alleged partner Chetan Chaudhary were accused of being involved in his murder.
Was Ketan Aware of Siya’s Affair?
New details emerging in the case suggest that Ketan had doubts about Siya and Chetan’s relationship even before his engagement was fixed. He reportedly suspected that the two were involved with each other. It has come to light that Ketan had expressed his concerns before the engagement and had asked his family to conduct a background check on Siya.
Father Makes Shocking Claims
According to Jagran.com report, citing police, Ketan's father stated in his complaint that his son frequently expressed concern about the closeness between Siya and Chetan. Ketan reportedly said that Siya often mentioned Chetan during their conversations.
He suspected that Siya might be having an affair with someone. He added that whenever he tried to call Siya, her phone was often busy, which further increased his doubts. However, the family reassured him that there was no cause for concern, as Siya's family were close friends of theirs. They explained that such behaviour could be attributed to her young age and that she would be counselled before the wedding.
What Did Ketan Tell His Father?
It is further revealed that Ketan had spoken to his father about the affair just four days before his death. Police claim that on 14 June, Siya and Ketan had visited Lohagad Fort, where Siya allegedly attempted to push Ketan off a cliff. However, Ketan managed to save himself by holding onto a bush.
After returning from Lohagad, Ketan again asked his father whether a proper background check had been done on Siya. Later, on 18 June, Siya and Ketan visited Lohagad Fort again, but this time Ketan did not return home alive.
Ketan and Siya got engaged in February this year, and their grand wedding was scheduled for November. Their marriage had been arranged through a common relative of the Agarwal and Goyal families. Police suspect that Chetan and Siya pushed Ketan off the fort, causing his death.
