In a significant development in the murder of model Divya Pahuja, the Gurugram Police on Thursday arrested two absconding accused identified as Balraj Gill and Ravi Banga from Kolkata Airport, as reported by news agency ANI. 

According to Varun Dahiya, Gurugram ACP (Crime), the accused had gone missing after leaving their car near the Patiala bus stand. Balraj Gill and his aide Ravi Banga have reportedly disposed of Pahuja’s body, which is not yet found. 

Earlier, the police issued lookout circulars against the absconding men to prevent them from escaping abroad. The police also issued a reward of Rs 50,000 each against Gill and another accused Ravi Banga.

Divya Pahuja, model girlfriend of Gurugram’s most-wanted gangster Sandeep Gadoli was found shot dead in a Gurugram hotel earlier this week. Pahuja, who had recently secured bail in connection with the alleged fake encounter of gangster Sandeep Gadoli in which she was jailed for seven years, was reportedly killed on January 2.

According to the police, she was blackmailing a hotel owner in the city identified as Abhijeet Singh, who allegedly killed her at one of his properties. 

The prime suspect in the case Abhijeet Singh, and his employees Hemraj, 28, Om Prakash, 23, and Megha Phogat, 20, were arrested in connection with the matter. Both Prakash and Hemraj used to work in Abhijeet's hotel which was situated near Gurugram’s bus stand. 

During police interrogation, hotel owner Abhijeet Singh told police that Pahuja’s mobile had some objectionable pictures and she was blackmailing him on several occasions. When Divya refused to give the password to Abhijeet, he allegedly shot her dead, news agency IANS reported.
